In a world of moral ambiguity, Waller begins to shift from the perfect shade of gray into evil territory. This episode also has the potential to push Bruce’s relationship with Amanda Waller to its limit. However, his motivations and relationship with Bruce/Batman seem like they can vary greatly.

I feel John Doe will finally crack and become The Joker in the final episode, setting himself up as the main villain in a possible Season Three. The proto-Joker really starts shaping his future persona based on how you interact with him, and it’s creating some interesting options for the future. One of the main reasons why What Ails You is such a good episode is because it begins to deliver payoffs for multiple ongoing character interactions. With Harley on the run, catching her and keeping the deadly virus contained becomes top priority.

Harley Quinn comes out on top, getting away with the virus just as The Agency shows up to arrest everyone else. Things go sideways fast, and the Pact turns on each other. That doesn’t mean there wasn’t plenty of action, as Bruce gets dragged along with the Pact into a well-guarded vault to retrieve a deadly virus. In fact, I don’t think Batman ever made an appearance during my Episode 4 playthrough. Like last episode, Bruce Wayne takes center stage.

Unfortunately, the third episode couldn’t live up to the same intensity of the first two, but the series gets back on track with Episode 4, What Ails You.

I’m by no means suggesting the movie was influenced by the game lol I’m more so saying that TellTale could’ve used those connections to their advantage in cashing in on a season 3.Batman: The Enemy Within had an amazing debut, followed by an outstanding second episode. It seems like a missed opportunity to solidify their comeback given the fact that The Batman has parallels to their popular TellTale Series (no spoilers, I haven’t seen it yet thanks to Covid and am basing this take solely off the movie trailers) in terms of the comic feel, the presence of Riddler and Falcone, and the significant role Selina/Bruce’s connection to her plays in the story. I know they’ve made it clear TWAU is their top priority but idk why they wouldn’t have at least started developing season 3 following the announcement of this movie and the direction it was headed in. Ps I'm hoping for Ivy (plant/drug story) or Scarecrow (Arkham story) as villains. Of course, John could still be a major character if they make dialogue options for him as vague as possible - have choices for both villain and vigilante ending and count of player to choose the ones that fit their ending. This would work even if you chose the villain route and they wouldn't have to spend a lot of time on it if his scenes are limited. John could help Bruce with the new villains. I think the best we'll get is a couple of scenes of Bruce visiting John in Arkham. It's going to be hard with two completely different endings. I would say the same thing as with Tiffany, but he's such a fan favorite he'll have to come back. I'm not sure about Tiffany, I guess the easiest would be if she didn't show up is season 3 like Harvey and Penguin (handle her fate without seeing her and not have Bruce interact with her).Īnd of couse, the question of John. I think giving up Alfred/Batman could be a somewhat of an easy fix? If you choose Alfred you can still put on the cowl for an emergancy crisis and if you chose Batman, Alfred could return for a visit. The question is, in season two, what are some choices I can make to radically change the dynamic of the storylines? How should I handle the relationship with John Doe? Or Bane, Waller, or Harley, for that matter? Any tips would be great, as things get murky in season two, and I’d like to see a new side of the game if possible.

It’s been great fun, and I got to see Harvey transform into Two-Face proper! I’m also choosing the opposite of all the major choices given by the series than I did before, just to see different situations play out. Selfish, violent, yells at people, throws punches and people under the bus. In my new play through, I’m now Batman the Butthole. Kept my distance from Waller and Catwoman, sided with Gordon, maintained Alfred as family, took Tiffany 76er my wing, and John Doe became a vigilante despite my best efforts. I was generally supportive, peacekeeping, forgiving and as nice as possible. I played seasons one and two all the way through.
